This policy describes the current version of Gloam: an offline sound diary whose recordings stay on your device, with no account, cloud sync, or in-app purchases. If a future version changes how data is handled, we will update this policy before that version is released.

What Gloam does
Gloam is an offline ambient sound diary. You record short ambient clips on your iPhone (on the order of ~20 seconds of ambient sound per day). Clips and related diary data are meant to stay on the device you recorded them on.
What is stored on your device
- Ambient recordings you capture with the microphone.
- On-device diary metadata needed to show and organize those clips (for example dates and local playback state).
This information is stored locally by the app. It is not uploaded by Gloam under the assumptions in this policy.
What we do not collect
Under these assumptions, Gloam does not collect personal data off the device. In particular we do not:
- send recordings or diary data to our servers,
- operate cloud sync or iCloud backup of Gloam content as a product feature (device-level iOS backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by Gloam-specific sync),
- use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services that transmit data to us or a third party,
- create accounts or ask for an email inside the app,
- sell, rent, or share data with third parties,
- track you across apps or websites for advertising.
If that changes, this policy will be updated and App Store privacy labels will be updated to match.
Microphone
Gloam uses the microphone only to record ambient audio on your device. A system permission prompt (NSMicrophoneUsageDescription) will explain this when iOS asks. Microphone access is a device permission, not off-device collection.
Children
Gloam is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because data is intended to stay on the device, there is no off-device children’s data for us to collect. Parents who do not want recordings on a device should not grant microphone permission and can delete the app.

Changes
We may update this policy if the app’s data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes that involve data leaving the device will also be reflected in App Store Connect privacy labels.

Gloam je offline deník ambientního zvuku. Krátké nahrávky (řádově ~20 s ambientu denně) a související deníková data zůstávají na zařízení.
Na zařízení se ukládá: vaše nahrávky z mikrofonu a místní metadata deníku (např. datum, stav přehrávání).
Neshromažďujeme data mimo zařízení: žádné odesílání nahrávek na naše servery, žádná produktová cloudová synchronizace, žádná analytika / reklama / crash reporting, žádné účty v aplikaci, žádný prodej či sdílení dat, žádné sledování napříč aplikacemi. Pokud se to změní, tato zásada i štítky v App Store Connect se aktualizují.
Mikrofon slouží jen k nahrávání na zařízení. Systémový dialog oprávnění je Info.plist (NSMicrophoneUsageDescription), ne sběr dat mimo telefon.
Aplikace není cílená na děti a vědomě neshromažďuje údaje o dětech mimo zařízení.
